Graminger Weissbräu is a small traditional brewery.

Exactly in 1900 the resident farrier had the idea of setting up tables and catering the waiting farmers. After a while he started to brew his own beer in old wooden washing barrels. From now on more and more farmers came – not to supply their horses but to taste the young created beer! Soon he was so busy that he sold the established brewery and built up a new smith opposite the street.

The Graminger Weissbräu than changed the owner till 1920 more than ten times until Josef Krähschütz bought the brewery. His grandson, Karlmann Detter, is managing the traditional company with his wife Inge and his family until today.

The coming generation is also educated in the business – the daughters Sabine, Iris and Birgit are from the subject – both in the catering trade and in the brewery.

The Graminger Weissbier is brewed according the Bavarian purity law of 1516. The process is still a craft – brewing with much experience and love to the product. The beer ist not preserved – it remains unfiltered so that it keeps the yeast in it and the fullness of taste!
